About Home Vet NI

Home Vet NI is a compassionate home euthanasia service for cats and dogs in Northern Ireland. We can help you assess your pets quality of life and decide when the time has come to say goodbye. When the decision has been made that the time for euthanasia has come, a convenient time can be arranged for a home visit, including evenings and weekends.

We will guide you through the process and aim to make this difficult time as relaxed as possible. We will help your pet pass away peacefully and pain free in your own home, at a time when going into the vets just seems too stressful. Home Vet NI can arrange aftercare for your pet and provide transport to a Crematorium if you wish. We aim to take away any anxiety for you and your pet during this sad time.

What to expect

Unrushed Discussion

We can help you decide when the time is right for you and your pet. We will take time to explain the procedure and what to expect.

Pre-Sedation

We will sedate your pet before euthanasia so they are pain and anxiety free. They will gently fall asleep in the comfort of their own home.

Pass away gently & peacefully

We will administer an overdose of an anaesthetic so your pet will pass away peacefully and with dignity.

Aftercare

We can discuss your aftercare options and can transport your pet to the crematorium if this is what you decide.
